Course objectives
The overall objectives of this course are to enhance the knowledge of doctoral students on molecular and genomic approaches in order to contribute significantly to their current research and to improve their competitiveness in the post-doctoral jobs market through the acquisition of multidisciplinary approaches.

To deal with the coronavirus health emergency, in accordance with teaching methods approved by the University, the course will be held on line through videocall platforms such as webex.

The course will be divided into 5 modules for a total of 16 hours. A full timetable will be published in due course.
- "An update on omics techniques applied to nucleic acids", 4 hours, Giacomo Donati;
- “Tools for molecular diagnostics of plant pathogens”, 2 hours, Davide Spadaro;
- "Mycotoxins and other secondary metabolites of fungi”, 2 hours, Davide Spadaro;
- “DNA-based methods for community ecology”, 4 hours, Diego Fontaneto;
- "Metagenomics and metatranscriptomics”, 4 hours, Roland Marmeisse.
